Hello everyone! Long time, no talk.
I figured I should throw together a post since I've blogged a total of one time this month. What can I say? I've been enjoying my summer...sun in my hair, bugs in my teeth. Oh, I don't know where that came from...lol :)
Not much else to report. Hmmm, let see. Well, adventuresome girl that I am, I pretty much stuck to my normal routine last week. I bought flowers, went to the grocery store, took numerous trips to Target and snapped a few photos.

During one of my outings, I found this cute outfit for my daughter and realized it matched the flowers I had just purchased. Look! I even had greek yogurt bars that were color-coordinated too. My kids love them, but my husband and I kind of think they taste like chalk...yum :)
Well, anyway, put the whole thing together and that pretty much works out for a blog post...at least in my mind.
Well, anyway, put the whole thing together and that pretty much works out for a blog post...at least in my mind.
The pretty pink flowers that I got are called Godetia. Have you ever heard of those? I'd never seen them before. They look sort of like poppies, don't you think? I just love the old-fashioned charm of poppies. They remind me of visits to my grandma's house and the flowers that lined her front stoop.
Isn't funny how such simple little things bring back memories?

Sometimes, I wonder what my children will recall about their grandparents and their visits with them.
My mom, and my dad too, spend a lot of time with my kids...they're so blessed to have them so near. I hope they always remember all the fun things my mom does with them. She does things that, I think, a lot of grandmas probably wouldn't do. They've went tent camping, to a dude ranch, tubing down a river and to water parks where she'll go down all the crazy slides. They're making memories, that's for sure.
Well, lovely people, that's all for today. I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I hope you have a great weekend...stay cool!
xo

Sounds like you're having a lovely summer. Your daughter will remember, just as we have.
ReplyDeleteStay cool and enjoy it all ~

Such sweet photos! I just love all the pretty colors. We have been fortunate to live in the same city as both sets of grandparents. They have all been very active in the lives of their grandchildren. Our children are blessed with memories of drives in the country, celebrations of all kinds, vacations, baking and so much more. Yep, we are very lucky.

Tricia,
ReplyDeleteThat is the most pretty bouquet that I have ever seen. They remind me of Hollyhocks.
You reminded me of a joke someone told me years ago: How can you spot a happy biker dude? Answer: He has bugs in his teeth.
Your daughter's outfit sure does match with the flowers and the yogurt pop too. Very pretty pictures. Good to see you again.

ReplyDeleteThis will all do for a very nice post with lovely photos :-) . It is nice to hear resp. read from you! It is great that your parents are living near by and have much fun with your children. Unfortunately, my parents are living far away and seldom see my daughters. Nevertheless, our time we have spent together will also give them a lot of memories they will talk about lateron. Actually, they are doing it also right now (they are 19 and 21 :-)).
ReplyDeleteHave a great summer,
Barbara
By the way, this fits to your post: The title of my blog is dedicated to my grandmas, these were their nick names :-).
