Hi everyone! Hope you're having a good week.
It's been so nice and sunny here lately...I just love it! I even managed to get outside and play in the snow with my daughter. We braved the cold and had such a good time. It helped that the sun was out, creating sparkles on the snow...it was so pretty.
Anyway, I thought I'd show you a few photos of my living room today. The Mister and I recently freshened it up a bit. I wanted it to have a brighter look for Christmas, so we had to get everything done before the tree went up. We didn't do much, just painted the walls a lighter color and painted the armoire too...from black to white, but it feels sooo much better.
Sometimes little changes have a big impact, don't you think? If you want to see what the room looked like before, you can click HERE for last year's Christmas decorating post.
Whew! Let me tell you, painting that cabinet was quite the job. I thought it was never going to end. Seriously. I felt like like crying, that's how bad it was...lol.
I went with a very neutral colored Christmas tree again this year. I just wanted to enjoy the room's changes and have everything feel very calming. My kids have little trees in their bedrooms that they decorated with their ornaments, so they get to enjoy color somewhere in the house :)
I normally put a big copper star on top of the tree, but opted not to this year because of the kitties. Yeah, they like this room an awful lot too...they think of the tree as their own, personal jungle gym. Good times.
I'm kind of obsessed with making wool pompoms lately. I pull them all apart so they get nice and fuzzy. I put some on my tree, on a few gifts and I've been making extra for a little project that I'm working on, which I'll show you next week.
Well, lovely people that's all for today! I hope you have a super sparkly, sunshiny weekend.
Tricia ♥

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and beautiful room! I love the simplicity of it all and it's just lovely for Christmas. My tree was all white too and then I found some vintage light blue balls and surprised myself how much I loved them on the tree. I completely adore the little wreath hanging from the armoire...I may have to borrow that idea. :)
