Signs of the Season

Hi everyone! Did you have a good weekend? The weather was so wonderful here!

Oh my goodness, it's so hard for me to believe that summer is coming to a close. It feels like it just began, doesn't it? I keep thinking about how in a few short weeks, my kids will head back to school, a sure sign that that fall will soon be upon us and then you know what happens? In the blink of an eye...winter!

You may have seen me mention a time or two that I'm not a big fan of winter. I do LOVE everything about the season leading up to Christmas though! I remember how, as a child, I anticipated getting out all the Christmas decorations and placing them around the house...it was such a simple thing that gave me such joy. It still makes me quite happy now :)

Last week, felt a bit like Christmas when I received a package in the mail from Tara at Between You and Me containing one of her awesome signs! I was so excited!

Tara and her husband, Andy, started making their beautiful signs a few years ago and this year they decided to roll out all their Christmas designs in August for 12 Days of Christmas Signs. Twelve bloggers will showcase the signs in their homes, with a new sign shown each day. I was so happy to be one of the chosen ones :)

Anytime I move things around, the kitties have to come and check it out...they're such nosy little things :)

Anyway, here are all the other lovely ladies that are participating,
so pop on over and take a look...

  1. I'll have to go check out her signs, because that one is pretty awesome. Love the muted gray around the outside. BTW, that dresser is pretty awesome itself. Love the carving on the legs. Hope you're having a wonderful last few days with the kiddos at home. My son starts school tomorrow and it just seems way too early.

  24. Tricia, you always use
    your artistic eye in such
    a special way. Love how
    you've showcased Tara's
    beautiful sign!

    Funny that we are getting
    July weather, NOW! My son
    goes back to school on
    Wednesday (in uniforms, so
no shorts!) and it just kind
of makes me sad. Of course,
the fact that we dropped E
    off in California last week
    doesn't help, either....

So, yeah, maybe I need a little
    Christmas, right this very minute!

    Stay cool, sweet friend!
